Fern is a great coach, who looks after those she trains and really wants everyone to reach their potential and be as good as they can be. She is always happy to be there, takes time during the workouts to give useful tips and scale the workouts if needed. 

It was very good to be on the weightlifting course with her. I got lots of good cues and learnt lots of different movements to help me get better at my lifts and also helped me become stronger. I have always had issues with the Snatch, but after the course I understand the movement better and understood for the first time, what it means to drop under the bar.

"I have now been under the guidance of @burnlikefern for several months. After having multiple fractures to the spine and pelvic area , I never thought I would be able to exercise and lift weights. I do now! She has proven to me that I can. It has made me stronger. I adapt to the programme provided and modify if necessary.

Vektløfting og gymnastikk kursene: veldig gøy hvordan du tar en øvelse og lærer oss alle trinn. Man kan forstå mye mer hvordan man kan utføre den på en riktig måte. Og i tillegg har du ekstra øvelser som gjør at vi kan jobbe med, for å bli ekstra flinke på den spesifikke øvelsen du driver og lærer oss. Veldig bra! I started remote training with Fern when I was 12 weeks pregnant. I am now at 35 weeks and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I am 40 years old, prior to becoming pregnant I had been doing CrossFit for 9 years and keeping fit and healthy was a real priority for me. 

 

It has been a really positive experience, with the individualised programming pushing me enough so I still feel I am doing a decent days training but also keeping me and the baby safe. Fern is knowledgeable, clear and uses videos really well to illustrate movements which is so beneficial when recieving training remotely. She provides useful, informative and timely feedback on my comments and videos following training. She has helped me learn about training while being pregant including breathing strategies, pelvic floor exercises and modifcation of movements. The training has been varied and interesting which has been so important keeping me motivated when training on my own in a garage during a pandemic!

 

I hope that I can continue to train until close to my due date and plan continue with Fern after the baby arrives (when I am able!). I would reccomend Fern to anyone who is looking to train during pregnancy.- Helen H
